"The personal site might also be known as the ego site. These are sites that show lots of information about an individual. Often they combine a typical portfolio with other information about the owner. Things like a personal blog, photos, and other information that extends beyond what you typically provide for a normal job seeking portfolio type site. Yeah, many of these sites are intended to promote the individual in their career, but others seem to have an excess of information just for the sake of putting it out there. Probably for family and friends to consume."
